What is estate planning?
Estate planning encompasses the growth, conservation, and transfer of an individual’s wealth through the creation and maintenance of an “estate plan.” The purpose of estate planning is to develop a strategy that will maintain the financial security of individuals through their lifetime and ensure the intended transfer of their property and assets at death, while taking into consideration the unique circumstances of the family and the potential costs of different methods.

Deuteronomy 6:10-12
And it shall be, when the LORD thy God shall have brought thee into the land which he sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give thee great and goodly cities, which thou buildedst not, and houses full of all good things, which thou filledst not, and wells digged, which thou diggedst not, vineyards and olive trees, which thou plantedst not; when thou shalt have eaten and be full; then beware lest thou forget the LORD, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.

Hello
I am Gwendolyn McClure, your Estate Planning Awareness Coach. I want to share with you basic, but very valuable Estate Planning information to encourage you to begin, review or update your Estate Plan - NOW!
Many things I have experienced in my life have led me to his platform, and I am anxious to share them with you!
With more than two decades in Human Resources Management with the U S Postal Service, I was introduced professionally to the pros and cons of having CURRENT policies and documents in place.
But it was the loss of my father, husband, mother and stepfather that really exposed me to a very personal knowledge of the many areas and the extreme importance of an Estate Plan. Through my grief of each of my family members I was required to execute many legal processes I was unfamiliar with, but because of that I gained a wealth of insight of the estate planning process!
Sadly, I have also witnessed the pitfalls and failures in not planning properly or not doing so at all.
I realized this was actually an area of stewardship during the illness and the passing of my mother Lavada G. Williams-Gutierrez, affectionately known as “The GreatMother”. Just a few months prior to her death she shared with me a burgundy tabbed binder that contained her Will, Revocable Living Trust, and her life insurance policies, etc. At that time, I did not want to see it, and I did not want to even talk about it! But she had strategically, carefully and legally provided for her family including those that had very specific needs! And how she did it - - Really just blew my mind!
I did not realize these experiences would ignite this passion to share with as many people that are willing to listen, but above all to act upon, such a delicate, but extremely important topic seldom addressed in many of our circles.
